The navigation box above is colored green, the color of the paraments for the Epiphany season. Green reminds us of growth, and what a miracle it is that the immortal Son of God from eternity stepped into the development cycle of sinful human beings! We see development in Him in His physical/social growth into a grown man, and development in the unfolding of His mission after He was "activated" when John baptized Him in the Jordan River.

May God's best gift, Jesus His Son, bring you great joy in this holy season!

The Son of God was always God, but He wasn't always man! The eternal Word (as the second person of the Holy Trinity is called in the New Testament book and letter of John) added a human nature to His divine eternal God-nature the moment He was conceived in the womb of a young woman named Mary. She was a virgin, and the father of her baby was none other than God. Because God has entered our time and assumed our humanity, we know that He is truly Immanuel, "God With Us."
